With more than 47 years in fundraising and direct-mail marketing and communications, Robert Allen brings extensive experience to Excalibur Advancement Services in his role as Senior Consultant. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Robert has served in various development and communications roles throughout his career, including positions at his alma mater and Wake Forest University.

In 1972, Robert co-founded Excalibur Enterprises, Inc. with J.D. Wilson, helping to establish the company’s reputation as an industry-leading direct marketing and mail processing firm. Robert then worked as a professional fundraising consultant specializing in directing major capital campaigns and producing direct mail fundraising materials for a diverse range of clients. His work with educational institutions including Vanderbilt University, Wake Forest University, Duke University, Winthrop University, Germantown Academy and Episcopal High School helped them achieve top national awards for their Annual Giving programs.
